October 2023, 20 South Battery takes pride in being the chosen venue for an exclusive gathering alongside the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League. It was our honor to extend a hearty welcome to the esteemed artists Pinchas Zuckerman and Amanda Forsyth, executing a distinct and unforgettable performance. Throughout 20 South Battery’s history, it has been a gathering place. An aspiration we fulfill everyday by welcoming our VIGS “very important guests!” and Further realized through events such as this. It was a magical night filled with remarkable music, benevolence, and fellowship.

Kugels and Collards Book

Join us as 20 South Battery is hosting the Kugels and Collards Book Launch party on September 10th.

The Charleston Symphony

On Friday, January 6th, 20 South Battery was privileged to host the Charleston Symphony event celebrating the support of the Music Matters Endowment. Our walls were filled with the music of a private concert led by special guest performers Vadim Gluzman and Yuriy Bekker and other members of the symphony. Musicians played on rare Stradivari Violins provided by The Stradivari Society. Thank you to the Charleston Symphony for allowing us to be a part of such a magnificent event.

Charleston Literary Festival

20 South Battery was thrilled to host the opening reception for the 2020 & 2021 Charleston Literary Festival and welcome famed authors from around the country to stay with us.

Red Cross Charity Event

20 South Battery was honored to have hosted The 2022 Red Cross Fundraiser Event which raised $100,000 for the Red Cross. A special thank you to Governor McMaster, First Lady and Col Marc Greene who participated, Lou Kennedy (Nephron Pharmaceuticals), and all donors and event attendees! The funds go to life changing and lifesaving services for those in need.

Susan Pringle Frost Circle Member Reception

In April 2021 – 20 South Battery hosted in collaboration with the Preservation Society, Cocktail Hour and House Tours for their Susan Pringle Frost Circle Members. There is not a more fitting location as the Charleston Preservation Society was founded in our very ballroom in 1920!

Chamber Music Charleston

In November of 2020, we were proud to host Chamber Music Charleston for their live stream performance from our Grand Ballroom.

Preservation Society Employee Appreciation
