The MansionRooms & Suites
Within our historic estate is the Mansion, a flawlessly restored Charleston Second Empire masterpiece. Ascend the grand spiral staircase to your room or suite, where original hardwood floors, high ceilings, intricate crown moldings and authentic Civil War era antiques create an atmosphere of living history.
Explore the Mansion’s distinguished spaces, from the inviting, fourth-floor library - with its spectacular views of the Ashley river, Charleston’s steeple-studded skyline, and the Ravenel bridge - to the main floor’s formal double parlor and grand ballroom. This is more than just a place to stay - it is a luxurious glimpse of the past, a space with genuine soul. If these walls could speak, what stories they would tell!
Step into a true Charleston classic on the mansion’s second floor with the Lathers Suite, a charming and historic 650-square-foot retreat. This inviting space features an antique king-size bed, a separate seating area with floor to ceiling bookcases, period antiques and an original tiled hearth, as well as a bright walk-in shower in the bath.
Located on the mansion’s third floor, the Pringle Suite is a luxurious and historic 478-square-foot retreat that overlooks scenic White Point Garden. This suite offers a king-size antique bed and a separate sitting room with an original, decorative fireplace. The architectural detailing is beautifully intact, and the suite’s airy bathroom features an ample, walk-in shower and tub combination.
A sanctuary of refined elegance on the mansion’s third floor, the Simonds Suite is a spacious 675-square-foot retreat with stunning views of White Point Garden. The suite features a king-size antique bed, a separate sitting room with an original, decorative fireplace and a spacious bathroom with a shower-tub combination.
The Pringle-Frost King is a 550-square-foot room on the mansion’s second floor. Guests in this room enjoy exclusive access to the second floor porch overlooking White Point Garden, an antique king-size bed, and a blend of period antiques, original architectural details and comfortably modern outdoor seating. The bathroom is equipped with a bright, walk-in shower.

Within our historic estate you can discover a unique and different retreat, Our Battery Carriage House Rooms and Suites and our Courtyard Rooms offer a peaceful and intimate sanctuary. Steps from the Main Mansion and original to the property as well, these recently updated rooms and suites offer an inviting, contemporary feel. They combine the charm of antique beds with a modern design and aesthetic, providing a peaceful haven that feels like your own private Oasis.
Located on the upper floor of the renovated 1843 carriage house, the Battery Carriage House Classic Rooms offer a modern, 300-square-foot retreat. With a king-size antique bed, windows overlooking the garden’s brick pathway, and a private bathroom featuring a large, walk-in shower, these rooms are perfect for ultimate relaxation.
Positioned on the same level as the upper floor of the carriage house, the Blacklock-Ravenel King Room has its own private entrance after hours, offering a tranquil and charming, 350-square-foot modern escape. Featuring high ceilings, original hardwood flooring and a beautiful walk-in shower.
Nestled on the ground floor of the historic carriage house, the Battery Carriage House Suites offer a spacious and modern 600-square-foot escape. These suites provide two full bathrooms, a room with a king-size bed, and an adjoining sitting room with a queen-size sofa-bed - all just steps away from our private garden.
Tucked under the front porch on the mansion's ground floor, the Stevens Classic Rooms each offer a 350-square-foot historic retreat in spaces that once housed the 1870 kitchens. Featuring exposed wooden beam ceilings and decorative profiles of the original cooking hearths, these modernized spaces provide a king-size bed, gleaming bathrooms, an intimate sitting area.
Formerly the mansion's cistern and wine cellar, the Devereux Suite is a modern 515-square-foot luxury retreat featuring a king-size bed and a separate living room with a Queen-size sofa-bed. The brightly lit bathroom is equipped with a large walk-in shower. While light filters into the Devereux Suite through the glass entry door, please note there are no outside windows in this room.
